Selby and District Bowling Association

The Selby and District Bowling Association currently consists of fourteen clubs who play in two separate Leagues, Triples and Fours, both with two Divisions.

We also run a number of competitions for individuals throughout the season, and there is also one team competition. All are run on a purely knock-out basis, played over 4/5 rounds depending on the number of entries.

The objectives of the Association are:

  • To promote, foster and safeguard the amateur level green game of bowls.
  • To arrange inter club and other matches and competitions.
  • To interpret, when called upon, difficult and doubtful questions of law and practice and to arbitrate in all differences referred to the Association between and among affiliated clubs.

The Selby and District Bowling Association is open to all bonafide amateur bowling clubs within a fifteen mile radius of Selby. The Selby and District Bowling Association conforms to the rules and regulations of the World Bowls – Laws of the Sport of Bowls.
